2012 Commercial Berry & Vegetable Field Day
Virginia State University (VSU) will host the 9th Annual Commercial Berry & Vegetable Day at Randolph Farm in Petersburg on July 18. Randolph Farm is an impressive 416-acre agricultural center on VSU’s campus that conducts important research about new and niche crops in Virginia. Virginia Cooperative Extension is a collaborative partnership between Virginia Tech and Virginia State University.
The schedule for the 2012 edition of the Commercial Berry & Vegetable Day offers a slew of opportunities for producers to learn about new ways to grow and market their crops and farm products. It will also feature an Iron Chef cooking competition with local chefs cooking foods produced on Randolph Farm. The event is free and includes lunch and educational materials.
