Food Day is a nationwide celebration and a movement for healthy, affordable, and sustainable food. Food Day was created by the Center for Science for the Public Interest and takes place annually on October 24.
Celebrate the local abundance of food and community in the Shenandoah Valley by joining us and other area organizations, including Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance, Rockingham Economic Development and Tourism, James Madison University, Friendly City Food Co-op, Mary Baldwin College, Harrisonburg Farmers Market, Valley Crop Mob, Shenandoah Forum, and local food-related businesses as we coordinate special events in the Shenandoah Valley throughout the month of October.
We’ll be planning events for Food Day 2013. To stay up to date with these efforts, visit the Shenandoah Valley Food Day website.
